Thank you AP and the Philippines... what a ride! ASTIG!!!
.

This evering I redecorated my room - putting all the wonderful gifts, photos and postcards of my adventrues in the Philippines on the wall and around my room.

Amazing!!

Just sitting here reminds me of those wonderful memories that I will never forget. Its such a wonderful feeling to have - knowing that i have just been part of something special, something that not many young students can say they have experienced.

I have just been on an AP conference in the Philippines!!!

I have met soo many absolutely FANTASTIC people. I have learnt many interesting things about people's culture. I have learnt so many things about myself and some things that I want to experience in my life.

The nicest feeling ( giving my tingles right now) is knowing that I am part of the world. I know that sounds a little odd, I mean, really, of course I am part of the world, right? Otherwise I wouldn't beable to type this! hehe No, but deeper than that, I feel connected to the world in a small way, because I have so many new friends in other parts of it. It's so nice to begin to understnad that the world is not AS big as what it initially seems. Therefore, that things are possible, a difference can be made!

It's great to meet people from different cultures, lifesyles and life experiences. Indeed, diversity is magical!

Yet, more than this, learning that young people, in spite of these differences, can connect on so many levels due to common values, AIESEC values and experiences is such an inpiring thought to me. We may all be different, but we all essentially want similiar things out of life, especially in AIESEC, to make a difference, to understand, to learn, to connect, to be inspired, to love, to be loved, to travel, to have fun, to feel joy!!

The world can be a magical place!
Doesn't that thought just make you shiver?

The most inspiring thing above all else for me was learning about people's passions and drive. Why they were in AIESEC, why they attended the conference, why they are studying what they study. this is the most interesting thing for me: finding out what makes people tick, what inspires people to achieve, to change, to forfeit a lot of their tyime, money and energy.

Indeed, it is all worth it in the end. Doing what makes you happy and ignites your passion is wonderful. It is somethint I am going to ensure I stive to realize in my life.

These thoughts and feelings, I have to thank AP and the Philippines for. I will always remember those 2 weeks...

...the beginning of my new journey.
